Farms & Infrastructure

  • The Farm lands are located in generally accessible areas via road and footpath – specific land has already been identified
  • Farms are mainly situated in the Aburi, Adawso, Apirede, Konkon, Mamfe, Mampong, Panto, Tutu and Tinkong areas.

The project target is to produce 1,000 Tons per annum by 2025.

 

  • Current capacity is 60 tons based on 65 acres currently planted, expected to increase to 100 tons in 2022 after planting exercise engaged in 2020.
  • Pilot project is estimated to require five years to hit the initial 1,000 acre target. The group seeks to average 200 acres planted per annum from the 2021 planting season onwards.
  • Several farmers engage in intercropping, with a variety of crops such as maize, pepper, plantain, cassava etc.
  • Patient capital geared towards the effective introduction of the crop into the Akuapem area on a large scale
  • The installation of post-harvest infrastructure and adherence to quality protocols
  • Ensuring that our produce is of the necessary standard to penetrate and maintain its position in global markets
